Can someone be a high paid runway model and an Optometrist?

I'm 18 and live alone, In the University I study to become a professional Optometrist, living alone and having my own expenses I've been doing runway modeling since I was 16, the salary was $515 per fashion show. I got a contract in another company who's offering me $2,500 per fashion show. I love modeling, but I didn't get all this way into college to quit now for a lucky break. So I was wondering, can someone be a High paid runway model and be an Optometrist?
