Christians...Do you all agree with me that "religion" and "faith" are not synonymous terms?

It is so crystal clear to me (and I have seen atheists on this site who agree) that religion is the expression of a person's faith, and that faith is trusting what we believe to be the truth. How we present that belief in our lives is where our religion comes in. (B- part) Why do you think so many nonbelievers confuse these 2 terms so routinely?
