The EMA Christmas bonus?

I know I have to have no unauthorised absences to get the bonus, but do unauthorised absences count this term? I thought that they only counted up until Christmas. Today I missed a whole day unauthorised because I slept right through my alarm clock, not my fault because I've been awake for two days straight because I was up with my dog who kept being sick all night and day.
