How do you stop "ghosts" from following you where ever you move ?

I'm pretty sure I've made myself susceptible to spirits of some kind. No matter where I move, the weird stuff starts happening again with in a few months and people that live in any of my old houses/apartments always complain about it being "haunted". It's really starting to take a toll on me. People that spend time with me also complain that something followed them home...has anyone heard of this happening to anyone else?
