Surrogate mother?

Is it very hard to be approved to become a surrogate mother? And if you are approved how long is the process from there? I know I have to be matched with parents & do testing but I dont know how long it typically takes? From the day I am approved, how long does it take to actually become pregnant? Im not looking for exact answers of course, just an estimate. I would love to hear your personal stories and suggestions!!
