Why do people with children act superior?

They get used to people i.e. their children following and listening to their rules without question. they will have the upper hand if you operate in their circles, try stepping out of their mentality and telling them you cant wait to go traveling around the world, they will become all defensive beacuse they are tied down with disgusting kids and have no freedom, i'm mid twenties and dont have a driving lisence wich seems to make me a 2nd cl citizen...
