Is barbizon modeling a scam?

Hey, I'm Ashley and you know what I think it is a scam. My friend went to Walmart and she told me she got a paper to go and audition for Barbizon. She showed me the paper and told me to go on their website. I put in all of my information in there and she said that she didn't want to go because she thought it was a scam. Last Sunday we both went to Barbizon and we got accepted. Bad news was that they said we had to pay $1995 to get saved in a cl. We didn't have the money at that time and only paid $500 to keep our spot, but just a few days ago my sister called my brother that is currently in Navada University for college and he said that his girlfriend got scammed just the same way, but with $5000. My brother told me not to go anymore and just keep it safe with staying in school and graduating to go to college and take acting cles. So if I were you I wouldn't go .. :/
