Are unsubstantiated claims and religious smears all that Republicans have left?

I have only heard unsubstantiated claims and religious smears thus far from McCain supporters. They say that he is a covert Muslim when Obama is, in actuality, a Christian who was sworn in by Cheney on his maternal grandmother's Bible. They say that he is a terrorist, when the board that Obama worked on with Ayers was founded by a Republican who was involved in Ronald Reagan's administration, and the aforementioned board focused on improving education. They say that he wants to strip our freedoms, when balance between powers does exist in this nation. They say that he wants to terminate our military, when he would be responsible in withdrawing from the Middle East with a focus on terrorist havens in the mountains of Afghanistan.
