Fighting a parking ticket - mechanical car problem?

So you knew the ordinance and you knowingly violated it. What do you plan to use to say it wasn't your fault? Oh the car died and I knew I could repair it so I thought why not break the Ordinance? Sorry but the law doesn't work like that. You should go pay the $100 and if you KNEW you had a bad part then in the future repair it BEFORE the car dies. In the least get some pals and push the car across the street or something instead of violating the law.
