What makes Music "Nu-Metal"?

Nu-metal is a type of metal where usually it will be downtuned to drop c or maybe even lower. It uses rap-like style of singing with heavy guitar. Thing is many heavy metal fans don't like this Nu-metal genre because they don't consider it music when your playing the same chord over and over again unlike heavy metal. Notice many bands like korn, slipkot, papa roach and yes even disturbed are considered new metal for their rap like vocals and downtuned guitars. But who cares, if you like the music why care what others have to say. I'm a huge metal fan but I dont limit my music taste just cause someone else says it isnt music. I like bands from metallica to papa roach to system of a down to korn and slayer to godsmack and evanescence. It's all metal no matter what mix of another genre they use and more importantly it's all music that rocks to me so yeah.
